FriendlyTyping started with a simple frustration: most typing sites are either covered in ads, locked behind signups, or stuck in 2005. We wanted something modern, fast, and genuinely useful.
Today, FriendlyTyping offers timed typing tests, structured lessons from beginner to advanced, and practice modes built around the kind of text you actually type day-to-day — paragraphs, quotes, and even code.
Everything runs entirely in your browser. Your progress is stored locally, so we never see your data, and you don't need to create an account to track your improvement.
Our goal is simple: help you go from hunt-and-peck to confident touch typist, one short session at a time.
